Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! It's already 2010, the year of the Tiger :)

Have been visiting my grandmas' (both paternal and maternal) houses. Thus, shall combine the 2 days into 1 entry.

On the first day, my family went to our paternal side. Hmm, to be precise, we went to our uncle's house, cause my grandma is living with them at the moment. Had a lot of new year goodies, as delicious and as 'custom' as ever.

Moved on to talking to my cousins in her room. We talked and talked, gave them their birthday presents and that's about it I guessed?

At night, I called to make a reservation for a room in K-Box at Hougang Plaza. We went as a big group of cousins (the youth generation), sang from 10pm-3am. Shiok ar, I kept singing non-stop I realised. Sorry guys, my bad - tendency to hogging mics. Not only did my mic hogging habit acted up, my camwhore habit too! I started to take quite a few photos of us in the room till my camera battery went flat. LOL.

Cabbed home after singing and thanks sis for paying the cab fare...Gees

Thanks to the singing, I slept at like 4am, and woke up at approximately 2.40pm the very next day. Nevertheless, I wasn't the latest to wake up in the family. But, 2.40, desperately late for visiting at my maternal grandma's place.

After getting ourselves ready, we cabbed down to our maternal grandma's place. We reached at 5, which was extremely late. We were never so late before! :(

I felt really apologetic and guilty towards my maternal grandma. She has been missing us so much. (our last visit was almost half a year ago? It was so long that I could not remember)
Furthermore, this year, was the only exception year that we were unable to have a reunion dinner with her as no one could make it at the very last min. She must be really depressed and disappointed with us)

For the fact that we were very late for the day, we had to rush our later schedules. Spent only 1.5 hours plus at my maternal grandma's house (which is the shortest period of time I ever remembered), we cabbed down to our paternal relatives' house to join them for visiting.

Random complain: I soiled my white dress while washing the dishes over at my grandma's house :S. It was the first time I'm wearing my white dress and yet I got chilli sauce on it! Arrgh!

Meanwhile, the taxi driver took a super long detour - we were supposed to go from Chai Chee to Hougang. And guess what, the uncle drove us back to Tampines, then to TPE before turning into Hougang! That is like how far an extra route. I live in Tampines! How is it possible to drive back to Tampines to go Hougang. If that is the case I would have requested to go home. Thus, my dad got into a bit of argument with the driver and the taxi driver, in fear of complains about him, decided not to charge us for the trip. Despite so, my dad did not want to take a free ride for nothing. He paid some money still.

Again, caught up with my cousins. Well, this cousin of mine has an amazing internet business, she converted her living room into her own work room! Cool huh? I'm so envious, able to work from home anytime..wow...

Well, I got a few freebies from her - masks and sunblocks.

Not long after, it was late, while some of my relatives decided to go to K Box at Hougang Plaza again (which I rejected), some of the others went visiting at other places. For my family, we went straight home to clean up our house, cause it's my house that they'll be coming over tomorrow.

Home sweet home at last! Hectic worth of 2 days...
